Since I only have seven weeks left until my due date I've decided I really want to start getting ready now, so James and I are having a spring clean! We're getting rid of all clutter and stuff we don't need, then we're renewing patches in the house (like where the paint has peeled and stuff), then we're sweeping/hoovering and dusting every room head to toe, then we're mopping and wiping, then we're washing bedding and sofa's etc, so the whole house wil be completely spotless! We're also sorting out the gardens so that they'll be nice and grassy/flowery for the summer. Obviously it's going to take more than a day, so James has taken the whole week off work and we're going to get to work on Sunday and hopefully finish by the Sunday after :)
I'm actually so excited! I'm loving cleaning at the moment so I can't wait to get started, ha ha. Plus the finished result will make me feel really good about everything! I'm going to really try my best to keep the place clean once it's done, I want my house to be hygienic and a nice, clean, environment to bring a baby up in. And since I'm having a hospital birth I won't be here to ensure it's clean for whenever she enters the world, and I definately don't trust James to clean it for when we come home. So I'm making sure it stays clean once it's done!
There's nothing else to add really. We're going shopping today for food and I'm hoping to convince James to look at all the cute baby outfits and stuff! He's refused to even glance at the baby clothes in the shops we go to because we don't need any. We've been given/bought everything so it's really a waste of money if we buy anything, especially since they grow so fast, so James won't look in case he finds something cute ha ha! But I'm trying to convince him to have a look at stuff, even if we don't get anything it's always nice to 'awe' at the teeny weeny clothes and shoes, etc!
Oh and being pregnant in summer really isn't that great! Everyone's like "oh lucky you being due in June, got this lovely weather!" etc. And I'm like no :|. It's so horrible having a heavy bump to lug around in the hot weather, and I get hot easily anyway so being pregnant and hot weather is like torture for me! Also I'm always thirsty and can never drink as much as I feel I need to. I can only drink so much before feeling completely full/sick because of my stomach being squished by Lilia, so I never seem to feel better from drinking :/. And I am NOT looking forward to labour in this weather. I mean I've never experienced labour before so I don't know what it's going to be like for sure, but I definately know that any woman in labour gets hot and sweaty and stuff. So being in labour with these temperatures is just going to be completely horrid! Oh the joys! I'm sure my little sweetie will be worth it though!
