Ran for three hours each day at the clinic where I go for my antenatal appointments. I didn't know the midwives doing them as they were different each day, but they're a part of the team which I'm belonging to.
30th April:-
We talked about labour, the different stages, and what usually happens. We talked about home births and hospital births and the pain relief available. Nothing exciting really, it was all stuff I already knew and it was really really boring.
1st May:-
We talked about what would happen if we had a C-section, if the baby was breech, and if we needed forceps etc. We talked about breast feeding and different groups in the community which we can join. We learnt how to hold the baby while breast feeding. We talked abotu post natal care and what's best for baby - e.g. try and use cotton wool and water rather than wipes at first, etc. Again it was really boring and I never really learnt anything.
